Naturally neat and tidy

I so desperately want to be one of those people.
You know, the ones who keep a clean house.

The ones who naturally keep a clean house, but sadly I am not.
I can not get a handle on the magic of a clean house.
I have friends who make it look so easy, it seems like their houses are just always clean and tidy.
 What is my problem?
Is it just us, my kids, my husband, me?
 Are we just extra messy?
I don't know.
What do I need?
A different system, a schedule maybe, a MAID?!

What do you do?
Is keeping a neat house one of your natural gifts?
I know we are living in the midst of a war zone construction but, really?!
I mean look at this place!

And who am I kidding, you have to know that I picked up a little before taking this picture.

Is it sad that I want my husband to take all the kids away from the house so that I can use my very small amount of alone time to clean the house.
I am not even attempting to have one of those houses where you could stop by any time unannounced and it would be spotless. I just want to be able to see the floor at night before I go to bed.
Sigh.
I cant wait for my buggers to be older so I can use them like slaves have them do more helpful chores cause emptying the dishwasher is nice but I want them to be able to do all my laundry and the cooking and mop the floors. Man, having four of them is really going to pay off.
Someone please tell me the above picture is normal and that I just have neat freaks for friends, please!

Ok, rant over.

I hope everyone has a great weekend.  We are going to finally get our Christmas decor up and start some new traditions.

And we have the last soccer game of 2012 tomorrow, thank goodness, I am ready for a break.  I always forget how much work coaching an under 6 soccer team is.  I swear I coach, realize I despise it, the next year I remember and don't coach but the year after that it is like I have completely forgotten and I sign up to coach, then it hits me, 3, 4, 5, & 6 year olds are ridiculous to coach.  Hopefully I can put an end to this cycle.

Anyway, have a great Friday!

  3. Stopping by from Raising Steppe Sisters blog hop. I might be one you consider crazy clean... But seriously, don't run your hand across the top of a dresser, the dust would weigh you down. I just like everything in its place. This is what mine looks like when kids are up though. Stp by sometime. Www.susantoday.com. Fun giveaway now!
