Pile On The Miles 2012

A quick update with my POTM total.

 Are you ready?

I am still at 2.5 miles!

Yep, I didn't go running after Monday last week.  I have had another stupid head cold and I hate running when I can't breath through my nose.

Am I the only one like this?

Do you run when you have a head cold?

I just can't force myself, but I am feeling a lot better and could actually breath today so I hit the pavement running today.  I have to make up for a lot of missed mileage.  Wish me luck.  I am still aiming to hit that 50 mile goal.

Watch out!

  1. Yuck. I hope you get to feeling better soon. Sometime last year I ran with a cold and ended up making it worse. The fans made it so cold in the gym that I aggrivated my lungs.:( I learned my lesson. I'll wait til I'm better to exercise.

  4. I love the "Pile on the Miles" I hadn't heard about that!
Running with a head cold is difficult. And if you're having cold weather like us, it's even more tricky! Hope you get to feeling better soon and get back out there, even if it's just a walk!

  5. Hey Becca ~ Thank you for stopping by my blog!
I actually do run when I have a head cold even though it sucks at first but when I'm done I usually feel better.

I ran my first half marathon a month ago and can't wait to get back to running!
I'm glad to connect with you :)

  6. I love the "pile on the miles" title! Too cute!

I didn't run when I had a head cold and thus, ruined my training for the Marine Corp Marathon a few weeks ago.

When I get head colds, they completely zap me of ALL energy and I just scrape by taking care of my two year old. But that's just me. ;)

Good luck getting to 50! Then you can do the JFK 50 miler!

  7. Yes my love. I run when I have a head cold. I draw the line when it enters into my chest/lungs.
