I don't know

 I haven't blogged in forever.
Pretty sure it doesn't bother anyone, I just needed a little break.
Plus my kids had last week off of school, we get Rodeo vacation here in southern Arizona.
We go and watch the Tucson Rodeo Parade every year, we have done this since I was a little kid.
I think it is the largest or one of the largest non-motorized parades in the country.
The kids I love seeing all of the beautiful horses and carriages.
The marching bands are also a favorite.

My husband took a million kids my older two kids and both of my nephews camping the last part of the week.
I am sure that they had a great time but the prep work involved for me is exhausting.
I had to drive to phoenix and back (2 hours each way) to pick up one of my nephews.
Then after the camping trip I made the trip again to drop him off.
But he had a great time and my kids got to spend some time with their cousins so it was worth it.
I just felt like the break from having to get up and get everyone ready for school wasn't actually a break.
I plan on doing absolutely nothing over spring break, no driving.

Oh, also, it SNOWED here last week.
That is just crazy to me, I watched it and played in it and I still feel like it didn't actually happen.
I have lived here my entire life and can count the times it has snowed on one hand.
And it wasn't a little bit of snow, it was a good amount that stuck and was still on the ground when we woke up the next morning.
Pretty exciting.

On my fitness front I am doing a 30 day Jillian Michaels challenge with a bunch of other bloggers and IG'ers.
So far so good, we are on day 3.
I was really sore yesterday but not so bad today.
I haven't been running as much as I should, I don't like cold weather.
Plus my new Asics that I thought that I liked, I don't like.
My toes go numb while running, it is a really weird feeling and I get occasional shin pain when running in them.
I like them for JM though, and zumba just not running.
So I am keeping them for other workouts.
I went to Fleet Feet and got fitted today for a different pair of running shoes.
I had gone to a different store for this but runners I know here in town told me that I should go to Fleet Feet, that they trusted them more then the other place.
So I went there and they measured so much more things then the other store had and I felt like they actually new what they were talking about.
So I ended up buying Brooks Ghost 5.
I think a few of you use these and said you like them in that shoe link up from a while ago.
Hopefully I will love them too.

All right, I think I bored you enough for today.
Thanks for reading!

Wednesday: weigh in day

It happened...

I lost weight!

I finally busted through and am down on the scale.  I am very excited about this.  I think that I might owe Jillian a big THANK YOU.  The 30 Day Shred is the only thing that I have been doing differently and now I lost weight.  Wow, I really hope the scale keeps moving downward.  I can't wait to hit that 175 goal, hopefully that will happen next week.

Here it is, my weight is...

176.4

that is right, I lost almost 4 pounds!

Yippee!!!

I weighed in over on Roni's blog again, go check her out.

Oops! Wednesday: weigh in day

Whoops!

Yesterday was Wednesday and I didn't weigh in.

I thought it was Thursday all day yesterday, don't ask me why.  'Cause I have no idea.  Tuesday is a very busy day for me and I even had playdates scheduled, that I went to, that I knew were scheduled for Wednesday.  But none of that stopped my silly head from thinking it was Thursday.  It wasn't until I got online and was going through my blogroll last night that I realized that it had in fact been Wednesday.  And that I had completely missed weighing in.

So here I am, weighing in on Thursday.  Better late then never I guess.  And my current weight is...

180.2

Yep, still there, on the up and down train.  Oh well, I feel good about it this week.  I made it to level 2 of the 30 day shred and I feel good about that too.  I am going to finish this month and see where it leaves me.  Hopefully down just a little but I will take whatever comes my way.  Have a great Thursday!  I know I will because it is like I gained a whole extra day since I totally thought I already lived Thursday.

Level 2 of the 30 Day Shred

On Monday I started level 2 of the 30 Day Shred.  I think Jillian is trying to kill me with planks.  I was finally feeling good about level 1 and then it was time to switch it up to level 2.  I guess that is the idea, switch it up before your body gets too comfortable but oh man am I sore.  My shoulders are killing me, planks are not my friend.  I do love the ab routines in level 2 though, I can really feel them working and I feel like I can actually do them. Of course, they might be easier if I didn't have an obnoxious adorable 7 month old climbing all over me every time that I lay down to do abs, or planks.    Seriously, planks are going to be the death of me.  I can't even type planks without my shoulders cringing.

Usually everything Jillian says during the video makes me want to hurt her but when she talks about fitting into new jeans it really motivates me.  I LOVE jeans so much and can't wait to fit into them again.  So when she says that I actually am motivated and find myself working harder.

This is the first time I have ever done the 30 day shred and actually stepped up the levels every ten days.  The last time that I completed the 30 day shred I just did level one the whole 30 days, and I had amazing results.  I can't wait to see how this 30 days finishes.  Excitedly nervous.
